did you know?

ironically, i am sure you do.

because most of what i am about to tell you makes complete sense to even the most basic mentality. its been such a long time since i've blogged.. and an even longer time since i've had anything worthwhile to blog about (life has pretty much sat in the skunks corner trying to find a breath of fresh aire lately). so here is my full-of-knowledge-ironically-simple blog. i just liked the info, thought you might, too.

A sliced carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look amazingly similar... and YES science now shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes. (it gets better. we all knew that one.)

A walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex. We know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuro-transmitters for brain function. (cool.)

A tomato has four chambers and is (derr) red. The heart is also red and with four chambers. (wow. scientific. i know.) but did you know that all of the research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food? they provide vitality to the 'body ingredient' that does the same for you.

The kidney bean, fabulously shaped like ... a kidney actually helps to heal and maintain kidney function. (getting smarter is fun, isn't it?)

Celery, bok choy, rhubarb and the like are more like the bones. While looking like them actually contain the same percentage of sodium as actual human bones. 23%. and to top it off they are known to target bone strength. they help replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Eggplant, avocados and pears all look like the female womb and help in its function. today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. (so much better than therapy, jump ropes and stirrups, don't ya think?) and how profound is this? it takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit... coincidence. i'm starting to think not.

no, God didn't forget the men here. Figs, guys, are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. (gee, i wonder where this is going...) they increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers as well to overcome male sterility.

whew. that is a lot of information, i know. but its amazing to me to recognize something so simple in God's creation. you literally are what you eat. (no pun intended... okay, i'm my fathers daughter, maybe a little pun... ;))

what better way to enhance the life God has given than through the food he has created. may you enjoy your meals more this week and hopefully look closer at what you are about to inhale. me? i'm thinkin' my trips to McD's aren't on creations top 10. better to stop going late than never, yeah?

take care then. have a blessed week.
smiles
