the doc... say what?!

so Michael and i are seriously well-adjusted, loving individuals. (scouts honor, we really are :0))recently our lives have taken a turn for ... the better? this point is still being decided upon, so i really cannot comment as yet. however, for the better is good for now. we started seeing a therapist. yep, we were having some real issues. due to the extent of our exhaustion, bags the size of marbles under the eyes, thinning locks and being tired of having pizza thrown in our faces... we succumbed to the pressure and went to a therapist... to talk about Bubsy.

that's right folks, you read right. there should be a warning label on these 'things' called kids. i don't know what it should say, but there should be a warning that's all i gotta say. harumph.

Dr. know-it-all, we'll call him. because for now he knows it all as we sit there dumbfoundedly trying to come to grips with what it is he is telling us. backtrack a bit, first, lets describe DKIA. DKIA looks like, talks like and has the energy of Michael's brother Russell. for those of you who know Russell, you will know why this is so utterly hilarious to us. he (Russell) is a nut, and we love him :) but how odd we thought, that here we sit discussing our dilemma with none other than our crazy brother, parading around as a Dr. Know-it-All... (btw, Russell, in case you're reading this, this is a good thing that DKIA reminds us of you...)

so we go in for our kids hoping against all hope that there is a drug for this sort of thing. no i'm not saying drug my kid... pshawww... i'm asking where my drugs are... i've yet to get them. we've seen him twice now and you wanna know what he says?

"So, when it comes to parents and their children I like to take a bit of time to assess... its you, you need to change, how are we going to do this?... their personality interacting with yours and see where to go from there."

us??!!!! us?? this perfect, loving, intelligent, crazy-about-our-kids couple and he says its US???

problem is, he's right. as much as i'd like to fire him, he really has some great insight into what is going on. so he's still hired. he's still on and the mic's still in his possession... for now...

and that's where we are now. seeking therapy for our crazy, rugrat kid and we're the ones on the 'couch'...

Wow I can't wait to be on the couch. Can you start to understand what our parents must have gone through raising us? The problem with kids is that they turn out like their parents some of the time.... Just a little insight. That one is free of charge.
