the "perfect" body

i find it amusing that every time i venture to the beach, the same thought occurs to my little, pea-brained mind... where, oh where, has that perfect body gone? to the dogs, i say. after adam & eve, well, its just been downhill from there. so why is it that we keep lying to ourselves that those airbrushed, perfectly sized and proportioned bodies with flawless skin and silky hair actually exist? ... fyi, in case you haven't already noticed, they don't...

today i've drawn my own conclusion. human bodies are where we should grade on a curve. base it on the whole. we would do so much better collectively on this subject. A+ people, A+...

smooshed somewhere in this group would be the best booty award, washboard abs, sculpted calves, elegant cheekbones, ripped arms, perky rack, photogenic feet, silken dreads, perfect 10 smile, smooth, flawless skin and whatever else ails the perfection-seeking mind.

the best we can do is take care of what we have and love the body we're given. so next time you go to gauge yourselves on the horribly slanted, largely unattainable scale, remember this, we do awesome as a whole.
